I am in a bit of a panic as my wife does not know I may have cocked up and lost our family photos. As you can probably tell, I am not the most technical person and so simple instructions will be needed if you are able to help. I would be happy to pay if that is needed as I can't figure out why this has happened, or how to get the data back. Please help, if someone is able to help me sort this, I would be so grateful. Surely I don't need to erase all of the data and start again? I really need the data as it contains work, family photos and music. The dashboard states '2 new drives with existing data have been added' - when I go to the set up, the unit wants to erase the data on these drives. When I completed this reset, the unit has restarted and I can access the dashboard through the IP address of the unit, however, the unit will not let me access the hard drive data. I now regret this as I think this may have been a dramatic step and is creating a bigger problem. ![]() holding reset for 20 seconds, pulling the power out (continuing to hold reset for a further 20 seconds), powering back on (still holding reset for a further 15 seconds). Reading online, the only information I could find was to complete a full reset of the unit which I did: i.e. The unit started to continually blink the red light on the front and I could not access the drive at all. I have an Iomega StorCentre Ix2-200 which worked until the other week.
